Halloween (thanks Christina!)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

My kids looked so cute this year for Halloween!!!! (and I know every parent says this!!!) Kiki was Taylor Swift, Alexis was a baby, and Andrew was a roll of toilet paper. For the last few years we have been invited to our friends house for her Halloween party and this year was off the hook!!! There were so many wonderful people that were there and the food was AMAZING!!! I made scary eyeballs..(christmas buckeye balls turned into eyes)!!! There were so many kids there that I am sure that my kids are going to remember this wonderful night when they are all grown up!!! It is memory making nights like this one that I am suddenly aware of how big my kids are getting....just a few short years ago, I had to hold my kids hands and walk them up to the door. Now they are holding the hands of the smaller kids in the group and walking ahead of me....I am so excited to watch them grow, but in times like this I realize how fast it is going. Alexis is 13 and soon won't even want to go out Trick or Treating, she will want to hand out the candy to the little ones! I love it and hate it all at the same time!!!!!
One of the highlights was when Andrew's toilet paper fell off the roll. What can I say, I am not the engineer of the family!!! I just wound a lot of paper on some cardboard...I didn't really think about gluing it...so about 6 houses in it fell off the roll and onto the ground. Andrew tripped and we all laughed so hard!!!! If you are reading this there are some funny pics on my facebook page if you want to check it out! We ended up just throwing it away in someones trash can...I can't imagine what they will think when they see it in the morning!
Kiki LOVED wearing her costume. It was one of the first times she has gone all girly!!! usually she is a little bit of a Tomboy and DEFINITLY doesn't like a lot of attention, but last night she was like a different kid. With make-up and high heel boots she ROCKED her Taylor look :) She just has the best hair ever!!!
Alexis is growing up so fast, so being a baby was fitting!!! She was super cute, but I am sure the costume was just a way to get a sack of candy!!! Alexis LOVES candy!!!!
I am thinking that I am going to let the kids eat as much as they can over the next few days to get it out of my house....it should be gone in a day or two then I don't have to hear, "mom, can I have some candy" or "mom if I have a small piece, can I have two" or "it isn't fair, he got a piece"....
I would call this year a SUCCESS!!!!! Happy Halloween and now on to Christmas shopping!!!
